For eighteen years I was almost constantly under the care of physicians, suffering from ills too numerous to mention, including headache, catarrh, and a bowel disorder of three years' standing, from which I was greatly reduced in weight. I was treated by eight doctors during these years, also by a noted stomach specialist, and spent five weeks in a hospital. From there I went to the mountains and mineral springs; but nothing did me any good, except for a short while at a time, until I learned the truth,—that God is good, and that "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" makes us "free from the law of sin and death."

My healing was wonderful, for which I am very grateful; but I am thankful most of all for the spiritual uplifting, for having been brought out of darkness into light. My greatest desire is to help spread the truth, and I trust that God's blessing on me may make me a blessing to others. I am more thankful than words can express to our Father for the glorious revelation given by Christ Jesus, which has been brought to us again by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and made clear through our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Through the study of the Bible and this book I am daily encouraged to press on to the promised goal.
