In September, 1907, I went to a hospital with a sore on my foot which the doctor there said was gangrene from a kidney disease, and that I must have it operated on. In October the limb was amputated below the knee, and I was discharged from the hospital the latter part of December, with instructions to diet the rest of my life and to drink all the whisky I could. That is what I had been drinking, and I had been under the doctor's care all the time.

A friend then advised me to try Christian Science, and in March, 1909, I took my first treatment. I have improved wonderfully; I eat everything I wish, and I no longer drink whisky. I had seemed to be losing my sight, but my eyes are improving rapidly. This is the first letter I have written in two years, and I cannot say enough for Christian Science, and for Mrs. Eddy, its Founder. Christian Science has shown me the spiritual way, as well as the physical healing.—W. J. Saville, South Boston, Mass.

For twenty years I was afflicted with obstruction and bloating of the bowels. I tried many different physicians and medicines, which brought no permanent relief. I began to take Christian Science treatment in March, 1909, and I can truly say that I am healed. I have also laid aside my glasses. For all of this healing I feel very grateful to Christian Science.
