Since living in Prague, so far away from any Christian Science...

Since living in Prague, so far away from any Christian Science organization, I have had many wonderful proofs of the divine presence, and of the unfailing efficacy of Christian Science in every trial. The winter climate of Prague is said to be very trying to those not accustomed to it, and during the winter of 1908-9, many of my friends among the musical students gave way to this belief, which naturally interfered with their study, at times, to a very great extent. One morning I arose with a severe case of throat trouble, and at first I feared that I would be compelled to seek a doctor, remembering an admonition from my father that in case of illness I should not hesitate to procure the best physician possible. While mentally debating this, the thought suddenly came to me: Who is the best physician in Prague,—anywhere,—everywhere? Is it not the God who heals all our diseases? So I resolved to turn to Him for help. For a moment I endeavored to realize fully the truth of being, and after several moments I felt no inconvenience whatsoever. The following morning, however, the incident was repeated; but, not in the least discouraged, I successfully demonstrated over this, with the result that I was permanently healed of the trouble, and since then have been absolutely free from all suffering. This is only one of many demonstrations that have been mine since I have lived here, with no guide but the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy; but I have since discovered that there are several ladies living here who are interested in Christian Science, and as I write this we are about to arrange a weekly meeting for the purpose of studying the Lesson-Sermons. I hope this may be the beginning of great things for the future of Christian Science in Prague.

I need not add how grateful I am that I am gaining more and more, daily, that realization of divine Love whereby we are enabled to overcome every seeming discord which would block our path heavenward; and how grateful I am to that source from whence I have learned something of the God who is "a very present help in trouble," whose love follows us to the ends of the earth, and never ceases.
