AMONG THE CHURCHES

Second Church of Christ, Scientist, of St. Louis, Mo., laid the corner-stone of their new edifice, located at Washington boulevard and Washington way, this morning (March 7). The first service in the new edifice is scheduled for the first of May in what will be the future Sunday School room, and the main auditorium will proceed as quickly as possible. The edifice will be one of the handsomest in the city—Correspondence.

The Christian Scientists will soon begin the erection of a church edifice on their property at the southwest corner of Seventeenth and G streets. The preliminary drawings have been accepted, and as soon as detailed plans and specifications can be prepared the contract will be let for the building, which will be of frame construction and of neat design, with a seating capacity of two hundred and fifty. The structure is designed to accommodate the needs of the church temporarily, and a more commodious structure will be erected at some future period.—Echo.
