It is often a help to others to know that some one was really healed through Christian Science, and I can truthfully and gratefully say that I am one among the many who have been thus restored to a life of usefulness and a growing knowledge of God. I had suffered for years from female and stomach trouble, besides a general nervous breakdown. I was treated by two of the best doctors in our town, also by a prominent physician in Washington, D. C. I, however, received but little help or encouragement from any of them, and I had given up all hope of ever being well when a Christian Scientist happened to visit a friend of mine, who asked me to have a talk with her. I shall never forget the joy I experienced when the Scientist explained to me that God is our Life; that "in him we live, and move, and have our being." I took treatment from her, and with her help, in addition to the study of Science and Health, "Miscellaneous Writings," and our other Christian Science literature, I was healed. My friends all think that I can now do as much work as any two ordinary women. We have had many other beautiful demonstrations in our home.

It is great cause for rejoicing to know that our help is always with us; that, as Mrs. Eddy tells us, "divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). The spiritual uplifting is, however, far more significant than the physical healing. The Bible has become a new book to me. I shall never cease to be thankful for this healing truth. My heart goes out to Mrs. Eddy for her labor of love, and I am truly grateful that through her spiritual perception of the truth we are able more clearly to see and know "that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
