Christian Science has brought to me the spiritual understanding of man's oneness with God. Words are in-adequate to express the joy that has come to me through its teachings; it arouses the sense of love, peace, and friendship among our fellow-men, and these we need so much in our earthly career. Its healing power is indeed glorious. In July, 1908, I was taken with a severe illness which, according to mortal mind, would have confined me to bed for a week or more: but I tried to know the nothingness of the apparent condition, which, however, seemed so real to me that I did not make much headway. As I did not know very much then of the truth that makes free, a practitioner was sent for when the symptoms became somewhat alarming. She came at once, gave me treatment, and had been gone from the house only a few minutes when the power of Truth manifested itself. In all this seeming trouble I attended to my household duties, having even more than usual to see after. The worst attack was on a Wednesday, but the practitioner (the instrument in God's omnipotent hand) held me up in my time of need. I went to the meeting that night, knowing it would not harm me to do so, and was much benefited through the many helpful thoughts which were given out. In less than a week I was myself again and quite a wonder to those not in Christian Science when they heard what the trouble was.

For this, and for other blessings too numerous to mention. I am very grateful to God, and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy. Christian Science has indeed been a blessing in my home.—Mrs. B. A. Sires, Charleston, S. C.
