When I first heard of Christian Science, some two and a half years ago, I had just recovered from an attack of asthmatic trouble, from which I had been a sufferer for ten years, and during the last year the attacks had been frequent and severe. I became interested in Christian Science, and attended the meetings, and thereby got to understand better this saving truth. The asthmatic trouble has not returned since, and my child has been healed of a cough and several other ills.

I am especially anxious to tell about the healing of my dear mother, who was run over by a carriage while crossing the village street in February, 1909. Sge was severely injured, one of her ears being nearly dissevered. A few men carried her, unconscious, to her house, and physician came after a short while. The condition was considered such a serious one that he took her immediately with him to the hospital of a little town, where the wounds were sewed up. The physicians doubted that the ear would heal, and her injuries were such that there was scarcely any hope of her recovery. My sister, who was then living in the country, a few hours from here, telephoned to me at Dresden, asking for help. I went to a Christian Science practitioner the next day, we were shown the all-power of divine Love, for at the same hour when the truth was declared for our mother, she revived from the unconscious state in which she had lain since the accident. My brother, who up to that time was not convinced of the truth of Christian Science, became a believer through this occurrence.

On the following day the ear began to heal, and the other wounds also healed up very quickly. The physicians were astonished that this should be the case with a woman sixty-six years of age, but we knew that God is the "great Physician." Now all the wounds are healed up, and the ear has grown to the head. Our joy and gratitude are unbounded; it has been to us a glorious proof of divine Truth and Love. I pray to God daily for a better understanding of the truth which makes us free.
