I owe a debt of gratitude to Christian Science for physical healing and spiritual uplifting,—the consciousness of the omnipotence of God, good. With the hope that the healing truth which has come to me through this teaching may help some other to find the same blessed relief from physical suffering and to demonstrate that God's children are free from all that would mar the perfect reflection of infinite Mind, I give this testimony.

About eight years ago I met with a very serious and painful accident. I was run down while on my bicycle by a runaway team attached to a heavy wagon. My injuries were such that for months afterward I suffered terribly. After I recovered sufficiently to leave my bed, I had to be wheeled about in a chair. The doctors at the hospital, as well as those who attended me afterward, told me that sometime in the future I would have to undergo a severe operation. They also informed me that it would probably be months before I could leave the hospital. In September, 1908. my back, which since the accident had given me much trouble, began to get very much worse, and no one knows what I passed through. I had been interested in Christian Science through the healing of my sister, of serious lung trouble, and in my distress I appealed for help, with the usual result. After a few weeks' treatment relief came, and today I can thankfully and truthfully say that I am almost entirely free from pain. I eat and sleep well, can sew and do all my housework as well as ever. I have lost the terrible dread of the impending fate meted out to me by my physicians. I have also been cured of a very bad form of skin disease which had troubled me since childhood and which at times caused terrible suffering. All this has passed away, and my skin is now as clear and clean as that of a child. I no longer dread a change of the weather, which under the old thought used to aggravate my complaint.

In the practical demonstration of health and strength which has come to me, is it any wonder I am so thankful to Christian Science, and to Mrs. Eddy for the light and truth which she has given to the world through Science and Health? She has brought to light again the understanding of the Christ-healing, and the way to apply it to our physical and spiritual needs. She has made plain man's spiritual relation to God, good, the healing power demonstrated by Christ Jesus, the great Wayshower.
