Almost six years ago Christian Science found me, a miserable, lonely woman, reaching out for God and praying that He would send me one friend in this great city where I was a stranger. The prayer was answered in the form of a dear Christian Scientist, who invited me to attend the service at First Church of this city, and who also loaned me a copy of Science and Health. It was then I knew I had found God. Soon after this I received treatment, and was healed of an organic condition for which two physicians had said there was little help outside of an operation, and even of this they were not sure. I had also from childhood been a great sufferer from bowel trouble, for which I had no hope of relief, as it had assumed a paralytic form, but this condition was the first to leave me. Since then has come the healing of fear, worry, and many disagreeable qualities in disposition.

For all these blessings I am more grateful to God than words can express, and to our beloved Leader for the teachings that have enabled me and thousands of others to rise somewhat to a true sense of God as the only Life.
