With gratitude I give my testimony, trusting that it may be helpful to others. When doctors failed to help me I turned to Christian Science, and received the healing which I had sought in vain elsewhere. I had often felt quite convinced that there was a coalition between sin (evil traits) and sickness. Finally the day came when I was to be enlightened, and I found that sickness and sin had been partners from the beginning, as Jesus said, "When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." A lie is defined as "that which is not true." So I found in Christian Science all the fabrication of sin and sickness to be untrue, for God, good, only is true, and All-in-all. The metaphysical healing of disease shows the reality of the mission of Jesus; that it is "the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." Jesus yearned to be understood, and all of us in turn yearn that the dawn of light may break in upon the long night of materialism, and guide our dear ones to reach out for their glorious inheritance; for the truth is indeed as the "pearl of great price," for which the merchant "sold all that he had, and bought it." But, as Paul says, it must come to "every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."
I thank God for this blessing; and as others have said, I am grateful that I live in the same age with Mrs. Eddy, its Discoverer and Founder.
Mrs. Mary L. Hazard, Brooklyn, N. Y.
