It is with the hope that I may help some one who is laboring under a condition similar to mine, that I send my testimony to the Sentinel. From the time I was two years old my mother watched what seemed to be evidences of a possible deformity, and with this grew the fear that I could never be like other children. When I was six years of age I was subjected to osteopathic treatments for several months, but they did me absolutely no good. By the time I was twelve, the case was termed a serious spinal difficulty, and was pronounced incurable. It was then decided to try Christian Science, in which my mother had been interested for some time. A practitioner was accordingly consulted, and we were assured that "with God nothing is impossible," whereupon it was decided to try the treatment. I received treatment for exactly three months, during which time my shoulder was raised so that one would scarcely notice any difference between my left shoulder and the right, and my hip was lowered to its correct place. For this demonstration, and numerous others as well, I am deeply grateful; and although all my faults are not yet overcome, I know that man is "the full and perfect expression" (Science and Health, p. 591) of divine Principle, and that sooner or later these faults will be met and done away with.—Lila Lucile Porter, Peoria, Ill.
