I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to God for what Christian Science has done for me. I was taken ill with what the doctors pronounced appendicitis and gall-stones. I was treated by one physician for about three months, and as I failed to gain any strength or to be relieved of the intense pain, my husband, who thought it his duty to get me relief if possible, called in another physician. The two physicians held a consultation, and decided that they could not operate then, as my condition was too serious, and that it would be necessary to wait until I could gain in strength. I was, however, so slow in gaining that our physician said the only thing which would help me was to undergo the operation. At this time I weighed only about seventy-two pounds. My husband then discharged the doctor, and hearing of an osteopathic physician, we thought it best to try that method. After doing so I seemed to feel stronger, but still suffered intense pain and could not eat anything without great suffering.

After a month's trial of this treatment, in which I failed to receive proper relief, we decided to try Christian Science. My husband and I called on a practitioner, and I can truth fully say that I was healed in one treatment of the pain in the abdomen, but I continued to take treatment for weakness, of which I was healed in seven treatments. Since taking up the study of Christian Science, two years ago, we have had many beautiful demonstrations in our home, and I can say that I have perfect health, for which I am truly grateful. My daily prayer is to learn more and more of this healing truth which has been revealed to us through our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
