It is well known that Christian Science is aiding in the purification of the world from evil. Christian Science presents only the teachings of Christ Jesus, which expound a scientific method of overcoming sin and sickness. It thus presents a true solution of social problems. Christian Science is true solution of social problems. Christian Science is true Science, because it is of God,—a revelation from God,—giving to the world a higher and better understanding of Truth than humanity has ever before been willing or ready to comprehend. While it recognizes that scholarship cannot take the place of spirituality, Christian Science endorses education to the fullest extent. Mrs. Eddy says, "Observation, invention, study, and original thought are expansive and should promote the growth of mortal mind out of itself, out of all that is mortal. It is the tangled barbarisms of learning which we deplore,—the mere dogma, the speculative theory, the nauseous fiction" (Science and Health, p. 195).

Christian Science teaches that God and His manifestations constitute all reality; that God is Love and governs with supreme wisdom. The real man is perfect and spiritual, God's image and likeness, as recorded in the first chapter of Genesis; but sinning mortal man is material, and is not this likeness. Mortals can get rid of materiality only by ceasing to sin and by living in harmony with God, the creator of all good. Christian Scientists are taught always and under every circumstance to overcome evil with good, to express toward others only kindness, love, and good will. They are instructed to love all, without regard to religion, profession, or condition.
