Often as I have desired to express my gratitude for Christian Science and what it has done for me, I really cannot find words to do so. I had been a sufferer for over thirty years and had tried all known remedies and many physicians, but got no permanent relief. My first experience in Christian Science was when, at the invitation of a friend, I attended a public lecture on June 20, 1907. The lecture so infused me with hope that I bought a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and have studied it faithfully ever since. I began to read this book at the chapter on Prayer, and the words of the first line of the spiritual interpretation of the Lord's Prayer (p. 16) gave me a glimpse of the heavenly light of Truth. In August, 1907, I had a severe attack of summer complaint, with which I had been troubled regularly for thirty-five years. I asked a Christian Science practitioner for help, and with the first treatment I was instantaneously healed of this trouble and of another ailment of over thirty years' standing. After taking several treatments I was also healed of rheumatic trouble, which I had about five years, and for several months just before I came into Christian Science I had not been able to use my right arm or bend my right limb from the effects of it.

In my home and in doing my work I find Christian Science a very great comfort and source of strength. I have had many difficulties to overcome, but Christian Science has dispelled them all. I trust that this testimony to the power of Truth may be a ray of hope to lead into Christian Science those who are seeking for health, happiness, and the true way of life, knowing as I do that it will help them as it has helped me if they will only accept the truth in God's way. My heart goes out in love and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for the blessings I have received and for the good work she has done and is still doing for the world. I am most grateful to God that He has guided me into His truth, that I may have life and have it more abundantly.—Mrs. Christina Kern, Canton, O.
