It is with great thankfulness that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. It has never failed me once since I first began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, more than twelve years ago. I did not come to Christian Science for physical help—the need was far deeper than that—but the healing followed, and from being a delicate girl with a strong tendency to lung trouble, I became a strong, well woman. I have found the peace and contentment that belongs to each child of God, and no day passes without some proof of the truth of Christian Science coming to me, either in my own home or in some other.

Recently I have healed healed of eye trouble, and will tell of this demonstration because it proved to me many things. My eye had been injured many years before. It was considered only a slight injury at the time, but later the eye was apt, under certain conditions, to give me pain. Finally the pain became continuous, and it was nearly a week before I was free from it, even with the help of Christian Science; but when the healing was accomplished, I had gained in many ways. I found that Mind is the only substance, for this material condition did not stop me from doing anything that was necessary and right. I wrote letters, read, and went about as usual. But far more significant than all this, I was able, when suffering most, to heal a very sick child, to bring this little one out of fever and unconsciousness in less than three hours. Materia medica would have placed me in a dark room for some time, and then given me glasses to wear; while today, through Christian Science treatment, I am free from every sense of pain and my sight is normal. A year ago I met with a serious injury to the other eye, and this was overcome in less than two days.

Our three little daughters are always healed through Christian Science treatment, and there is never for one moment the slightest doubt but that they will be benefited, no matter what the ailment may be. Our love and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy must needs be great, for without her loving courage in giving Christian Science to the world our oldest daughter would be to-day a cripple. Materia medica said, five years ago, that the child would never recover from an attack of paralytic trouble, but Christian Science healed her absolutely in less than three months. Just recently a stranger, who saw her dancing, remarked to me afterward on her strength and fine physique.
