I am very thankful for all the help we have received in Christian Science during the past ten years. This year was our first experience with a so-called contagious disease in the case of our little girl. We were in doubt whether or not to report the illness, but the Christian Science practitioner told us to do so. The next day, when the health officer came, the child was playing about the house, with only very slight signs of the eruption. He asked several questions, and particularly who was the physician. I replied that we had a Christian Science practitioner. He then asked if we had ever had a contagious disease in the family before, and I told him this was our first experience. Before he left the house we had a very pleasant conversation on the subject of Christian Science, and I invited him to visit some of the churches in the city. He made his third visit a day before the time for the fumigation, saying that he was in the neighborhood and thought that I was probably anxious to be through with it. Before he left he said we had done the proper thing in reporting the case, even though we had Christian Science treatment.—Mrs. Belle Prim, New York, N. Y.
