AMONG THE CHURCHES

Work on the fine new Reading Room of First Church of Christ, Scientist, on Broadway, is progressing very favorably. The building is all up, roofed and enclosed, and though none of the rooms are finished as yet, one can readily imagine that they will all have a very cozy appearance when completed. The exterior will be an attractive rustic finish.—Los Gatos Mail.

At a meeting of the members of the Christian Science church to-day [Nov. 23] it was decided to proceed with the erection of a church edifice on their lot at the corner of Ocean and Dakota avenues, and work will begin at once on the first section of the building. The exterior will be finished in cement and will present a handsome appearance, being designed in the Greek-Corinthian style, surmounted with a large dome.—San Francisco Chronicle.
