THE BUILDING FUND

We have been given liberty to publish the following letter to Mr. Chase from a contributor to the Publishing House building fund:—

Olean, N. Y, June 1908.

Dear Mr. Chase:— As my eyes fell on the notice again given in this week's Sentinel, that the fund for the new publishing house was not complete, the thought came that I had given what I could toward it. Immediately followed the question, What would it mean to me, personally, if there were no Christian Science publications? There poured into thought the many times I had been able to make some demonstration over fear or a false belief, through reading some article in one of the periodicals, written by some one who had worked out this same problem before me. I thought, too, of the many who have been helped by the Journals and Sentinels I have given away; the many who have found in them answers to disturbing questions, comfort and enlightenment, in sickness and Ignorance. This was just in my individual experience, to say nothing of their world-wide usefulness.
