During the past three years I have, to mortal sense, experienced a severe and prolonged struggle with obstacles seemingly insurmountable, and I would say, that aside from the manifold blessings received through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," as well as from my contact with those qualified to speak understandingly of its truths. I have received, and continue to receive, invaluable instruction and inspiration through the Sentinel. Indeed, its pages, aglow with spiritual truths, give me renewed courage and brighten my onward course. While I am not, perhaps, at this stage of my progress, able to give a testimony which might be helpful to others likewise eager to free themselves from the shackles which link them to the slavery and oppression of man-made laws, I feel that I owe to Christian Science some acknowledgment of its beneficent influence upon my daily life, so I send this as a feeble effort to express my appreciation and thankfulness therefor.
Richard L. Gardiner, Philadelphia, Pa.
