LETTERS TO OUR LEADER

Concord, N. H., May 18, 1908.

Dear Mrs. Eddy:—Having given so generously of your flowers to the "Daughters of Veterans" for use on Memorial Day in years past, while you were living in Concord, I take the liberty of asking you for what lilacs and other flowers are in blossom at that time at Pleasant View. The Daughters have always been very grateful to you for your kindness, and many times would have had no flowers whatever had it not been for your thoughtfulness.

I cannot refrain at this time from expressing my gratitude to you, dear Mrs. Eddy, for what Christian Science has done and is doing for me daily. It is now a little over nine years since I first became interested. During that time I have been healed of many troubles, among which were pneumonia and a tumor of between four and five years' growth. I am striving to learn more of this truth. We miss you here in Concord.
