At the age of forty I was healed of serious kidney disease, of a supposedly inherited stomach and rheumatic trouble, etc., and also of a tobacco habit of twenty-five years, by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Through the understanding of God gained by the study of our Leader's works, I have been led from a great sense of need into an occupation more useful, which has supplied all our wants, and enabled me to educate and provide fully for my family. Through my healing, my wife and four children have learned to depend upon Christian Science wholly. For five years Truth has met every emergency, and all of us have experienced its healing and protective power. Our gratitude grows daily to God, and to her who has led us into this understanding.
