My wife and myself can never be grateful enough to...
My wife and myself can never be grateful enough to God, infinite Love, for all the blessings which have come to us through the revelation of Christian Science, as our inspired Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has brought it to us. My wife had suffered continually for twenty-five years with a severe chronic stomach and bowel trouble. She had to live on bread and milk for many years. All medical means were tried without avail; one physician would give the disease one name, and another would name it something else. Finally a physician pronounced it an alarming disease of the bowels. Through the treatment in Christian Science my wife learned to know the truth; she learned that life does not come from food, and that God, good, is the Supreme Ruler. Through this understanding she was enabled to eat all food without fear and with a good appetite, and also to digest it. She is to-day as well and strong as she was thirty years ago, in spite of advancing years, and she is performing all her household duties alone and without difficulty.
I have also been relieved of many physical ailments and mental errors through the healing power of Christian Science. Apoplectic and spinal trouble, vericose veins, which had in former years kept me for months at a time from my service as engineer, and many other troubles have been healed by the knowledge of the truth. In many cases I have been able to help my family and friends through the practical administration of Christian Science, and often the healing was instantaneous. For all this I thank God, and also our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has taught us to understand God in our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
