MEDICAL BILLS DEFEATED

Bills number 722 and 997, introduced by petition in the Massachusetts Legislature at the present session, have been adversely reported by the Committee on Public Health, and as the report has been concurred in by the Legislature the bills are now finally disposed of. The Committee held a public hearing, as required by law, and within a few days thereafter submitted its report. The petitioner was emphatic in saying that his attack was directed against the practice of Christian Science, thereby raising the issue squarely, and the action of the Legislature was therefore most gratifying.
