It is now nearly five years since I first heard of Christian Science, and my heart overflows with love and thankfulness for what it has done for me. I was for nearly fifteen years a great sufferer from a complication of diseases, supposed to result from a severe fall. I had tried a number of physicians and remedies, but I was not healed by any of them. I could walk only a very little at a time, and then I would suffer greatly; and I could not do any hard work. Some of the time I was not able to leave my bed for three to four months together, but through Christian Science I am now able to walk anywhere, and can work every day; for which I am very thankful, as I had given up all hope of ever being able to do so again. I thank God, and also Mrs. Eddy, the Founder of Christian Science, for this great blessing. As the years have passed many demonstrations have been made and Christian Science has been the means of bringing help to many of my friends.

The physical healing is only a small part of the good that comes as a result of the constant study of the Bible and Science and Health, and the effort to live the true life. The teaching given us in our text-book has lifted me into a better understanding of Life. I have no anxious or fearful thoughts regarding the future, knowing that God is the only power; and I take great pleasure in telling what Truth has done for me. The blessings I have received are many, and I would say to all, Do not falter nor turn back. no matter how hard or long seems the way. I hope that this expression of gratitude from an overflowing heart may be of help to some one.—Stella Carlisle, Waupun, Wis.
