[Written for the Sentinel.]

COMPLETE IN THEE

Complete in Thee, we do not see
The petty things that gender strife;
Broad grows the outlook, boundless, free:
Eternal good the only Life.

Complete in Thee, we do not hear
The human will's discordant sound.
High on the mount His voice is clear:
In true obedience God is found.

Complete in Thee, we now do feel
The tenderness our Master taught.
It makes us whole; and doth reveal
Completeness as the perfect thought.
