I am very grateful for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought into my life. About four weeks before Christmas, 1900, I was suddenly taken with a very severe attack of lung trouble. My mother, not knowing much of Christian Science, called in a doctor, who said it was a very bad case indeed. My mother then asked a Christian Scientist to help me, and this she at once consented to do. When the doctor came on the following Saturday he said that I had improved wonderfully. On the fourth Saturday he was surprised to see me so well, as he did not know that I was under the care of a Christian Scientist. At this time I had to pass a medical examination for my work, and did so satisfactorily. I am very pleased to state that I now know there is but one healer,—divine Mind,—and that this Mind alone governs the universe. I cannot express my very deep gratitude to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who brought to us this living truth, which lifted me out of the shadow of death into this glorious light of Life.—E. Stedman, Kingston-on-Thames, England.
