Far from confusing "the creator with His creation,"...

St. Albans (Vt.) Messenger

Far from confusing "the creator with His creation," Christian Science throws more light on the nature of God, the nature of His creation, and their mutual relations, than has ever been afforded by any previous attempt to explain them. Is it, after all, pantheistic to say, as Mrs. Eddy does say, that "nothing possesses reality nor existence except the divine Mind and His ideas"? (Science and Health, p. 331). If this is not true, then its opposite must be true, that something besides God does possess reality and existence; a conclusion which is destructive of the supremacy of God, and whose author is plainly the carnal mind, "which is enmity against God." It is not pantheism to preach the oneness and allness of Deity. That is the rock upon which Christianity is founded. It is the primal statement in Christian Science. Once we agree that God is what the Scriptures describe Him as being, the only creator of the only universe, then every conclusion reached by Mrs. Eddy in her book Science and Health becomes inescapable.
