I had become throughly discouraged, and decided I would have nothing more to do with doctors or medicine, and I had adhered to this determination for two years before Christian Science was presented to our family, except when remedies were forced upon me in attacks of the throat and lung trouble of which I was a victim. My husband was opposed to Christian Science, so I gave it but little attention for four years, but after being confined to the house for a year and most of the time to the bed, I was healed in six weeks' treatment and had five years of smooth sailing. Though there were many severe battles to fight, I was helped through them all so gently and lovingly that I realized no responsibility myself. The time came, however, when I had to go on alone, and I know what it means to be a Christian Scientist and to depend on God to lead the way.

I cannot express in words the gratitude and love I bear Mrs. Eddy for her wonderful work for humanity. I have asked myself the question, If I had not been a Christian Scientist, would I have been thus delivered out of my distresses?—Mrs. Flora A. Justus, Toledo, O.
