I can no longer delay the acknowledgment of my gratitude for Christian Science. Some months ago my baby was born without medical attendance. The nurse was a Christian Scientist and the birth was perfectly harmonious and painless. Last summer my husband and I were cycling in Germany, and one morning I awoke with a sharp attack of pain. Very shortly the pain yielded to treatment and I slept for an hour, when I felt perfectly well, without even the slightest trace or sense of anything having been wrong. We were on our cycles in another hour and had a ride of over sixty miles that day. Before I knew about Christian Science I have had similar attacks and have felt weak and ill for days afterwards.

I cannot tell how grateful I am for these and all other proofs of the power of divine Love, and the understanding that "if man is governed by the higher law of divine Mind, his body is in submission to everlasting Life and Truth and Love" (Science and Health, p. 216).
