Boston, Mass., Aug, 11, 1906.

Dear Mrs. Eddy:—I have just returned from a day's visit to Concord, where I go several times a year to look into the Patriot's affairs, and in this connection I desire to say that I appreciate more deeply than ever before the privilege of controlling this paper for such service as it is able to perform, and while I have been obliged year by year to add considerable amounts to my original investment, I can say from my heart that if the ownership of the paper by a Christian Scientist has been of any comfort to you, dear Leader, I am a thousand times repaid.
