Christian Science was brought to my notice almost five years ago, by a neighbor who had been greatly benefited by it. A year previous to this, our daughter had passed through a very severe experience with lung trouble, which had left her with a bad cough that no doctor could relieve, and we were obliged to take her out of school. I sent for a Christian Science practitioner, and said, "I am willing to try Christian Science if you think you can cure her." She replied, "I cannot, but God can." I then said, "Do you think she can get well?" She replied, "I don't think, I know she can be well, for all things are possible to God." I must say, that since studying Christian Science I have learned the truth of that statement, and also that "all things are possible to him that believeth." In less than three weeks the child was well, and she is now a picture of health.

Since that time we have seen the healing of many severe forms of sickness, and with no help but that of Christian Science. One dear child of four years was badly scalded, and was healed through Science alone in a very short time. During a serious experience I said to the practitioner that I did not seem able to overcome the great fear I had. She told me that God was more to me than the fear. This thought took possession of me, and with the one treatment I was healed, and about my household duties the next day. With similar experiences under medical treatment I had been compelled to remain in bed for weeks, and was unable to attend to my household duties for months afterward.

The last experience which I wish to relate was the most convincing one to me that Christian Science is indeed God's Word to this age, and that it makes men free. After suffering for months from what doctors had pronounced a tubercular disease, and getting no help from materia medica, I was told that I would have to go to a hospital. I then made up my mind to have Christian Science, and I was healed in a few weeks. I was unable to use an arm which had been operated on several times, but thanks be to God, through the teachings of Mrs. Eddy's book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," I was enabled to overcome every manifestation of this ailment, and the arm was fully restored in six months.
