The students of Christian Science are taught to have the Mind "which was also in Christ Jesus," and to heal through this Mind alone. If this admonition of the apostle is not practical why was it handed down to mankind? Either the teaching of the Scriptures is for all time or it is of no value to-day.

Christian Scientists agree with this advice of the bishop to the clergy: "They should approach the bedside of the sick with far more faith. They ought to pray for their recovery with far more expectancy that they may recover."

The words of Jesus are plain on this point. "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing [understanding], ye shall receive." It is this understanding that the Christ is present, now and always, which heals the sick, and every church in the land should be doing the work through this understanding.
