Last May I was stricken with the grip,—having pneumonia and pleurisy in its worst form. At times I was delirious and to mortal sense suffered intense agony. I secured the services of a practitioner, and through the omnipotence of divine Love I was restored to perfect health in two weeks. Words cannot express my heartfelt gratitude to God, and to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for this wonderful revelation of Truth, as taught in our priceless text-book, Science and Health. Through the spiritual understanding and study of the Bible and this book I have been able to demonstrate God's healing power in our own family. Christian Science has lifted us all out of material sense into spiritual understanding.

We had a wonderful demonstration at the birth of our youngest child, now a healthy boy of sixteen months. After the birth of another child my wife was left paralyzed in the left side, from the thigh down, the doctor telling us that she would not have the use of her limb again; but thanks be to God she is restored to perfect health. At the birth of this last child she did not suffer any pain at all, was up the third day, and in one week from date of birth was able to do her housework, also to take care of the four older children.
