Christian Science introduces the teaching of the All-in-all...
Boston Times
Christian Science introduces the teaching of the All-in-all of God; that is, that God is Spirit, and man is His expression or likeness, and follows this with the instruction that its adherents must deport themselves according to such understanding of God and man, in order to work out their salvation.
The true understanding of Christian Science is developed and maintained by adhering strictly to its demands in practice as well as in theory. If the practice is wanting, the theory is likely to become adulterated, warped, in order to accommodate the pupil's misapprehension. Thus we observe that it devolves upon Christian Scientists to preserve and propagate their faith. If they are faithful and permit their lives to be consistently governed by what Christian Science teaches, they will progress daily not only in understanding, but also in the spirit of the Science, for this Science becomes a fixture in its adherents in the exact proportion that it enters into their life practice and individuality.
The Scriptural teaching that the letter without the spirit killeth, is true, and therefore it is well to provide against depending too much upon the letter and forgetting the spiritual regeneration which is so much needed by mankind.
