Christian Science first came to my notice nearly four years ago. I had then been afflicted with rheumatism for seven years, and had tried many doctors and medicines, besides everything that friends would suggest. Five years ago I went to a sanitarium. I stayed there ten weeks and came back worse than when I went away. From that time on I kept getting worse, until nearly a year after, when I was unable to stand up. My joints swelled worse than ever and I lay helpless for about four months, until Christian Science found me. I bought Science and Health and commenced reading and taking treatment. In a few weeks I was able to walk with a cane; my leg commenced to straighten and now it is as straight as the other. I have read Science and Health through a great many times, besides reading the Sentinel, Journal, and the Lesson-Sermons. I have not touched a drop of medicine since I commenced treatment in Science and many troubles have disappeared. I am very thankful for what Christian Science has done for me.
