H.B. Hudson of this place received a letter from his daughter, Mrs. Stella Schowengerdt, written the 19th of December last, from San Bernardino, Cal., in which she speaks of her wonderful recovery, through the Christian Science healer at that place. She says, "Two weeks ago last night I was given up to die by a specialist in this city. He said nothing more could be done. I had been gasping for breath four days and nights. Ernest ran for the Christian Science healer and he and his wife came quickly. I was so weak I could not think what was going on. He went to work faithfully and stayed by my side from Monday night till Sunday, and that day I was healed. I was perfectly free from pain, and such a sweet peace came over me that I felt like an innocent babe going to sleep. We are positive that I could not have lasted till Tuesday night if Science had not come to my rescue. I had taken no nourishment and could not retain even water on my stomach. They say it is the most wonderful case ever known in this city."—Montgomery Standard, Montgomery City, Mo.
