Seven years ago a dear friend, seeing my need, loaned me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. After reading the book, I felt that it was every word true, as it was all in harmony with the Bible, and I wondered why some one had not discovered it before. Until I attended a Christian Science service, I thought that the book was used by Scientists in place of the Bible. I came home from that service, took my long-neglected Bible from the shelf, and commenced to read it with understanding. I saw so clearly the difference between the law of God and the mortal belief, that I was healed of heart trouble, constipation, dyspepsia, rheumatism, and tonsilitis of twenty-five years' standing also severe headaches, and a sense of being tired all the time, from which I had suffered seven years. A very quick temper has also been greatly overcome. I am truly grateful for the physical healing, but for the spiritual uplifting which has come to my consciousness I can only say, Thank God that there was one who had the moral courage to be obedient to the teachings of Christ Jesus the Wayshower, and who, seeing the world's great need of this truth, went up into a mountain (a high and holy thought); and because of her love and compassion for poor suffering humanity, God chose her as the one best fitted to bear this precious message to mankind.

As one of the beneficiaries of Christian Science I can truly say that I have found in it my Saviour. I am grateful for all that has come to me through Christian Science. I have nearly all of our Leader's writings, and it is my earnest desire that I may ever be obedient to their teachings.
