A Letter to our Leader

Richmond, Va., February 10, 1904.

Dear Mrs. Eddy:—When a little girl eleven years of age I was spending the winter in New York City with my grandparents, and I had a dream which made an indelible impression on my mind. I dreamed that I was out in the street, when suddenly there came a darkness over the earth and the people commenced running to and fro in the wildest state of excitement. I inquired of the person next to me the cause of such confusion? The reply was, It is the judgment-day, and Christ is now descending.

I thought I looked up and saw the Saviour slowly descending from the clouds, and never can I forget the beauty of his countenance and the gorgeous color of his raiment.
