"Inexcusable"
This one word "inexcusable" has without doubt saved me much suffering since trying to live, think, and act up to my highest understanding of Christian Science.
The time was that, as a business man, it seemed to be a duty to inform my customers of the failings in my competitors or in their merchandise, thinking I possibly might profit by so doing. My thought, through the teachings of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," has entirely changed. I now know that if I think and talk wrongly I am bringing upon myself suffering. "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Love, the divine Principle of all true being, is the power, source, and creator. So long as our thought is not in harmony with divine Love and Truth, there must be error in the result or manifestation.
When my attention was drawn to the words of Paul: "Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things," it was just what I needed,—there was no alternative, and the thought came to me, How can I expect harmony when fearing and thinking of failure?
