When I heard that I was to have a vacation for a couple of days, the thought came to me to make use of this opportunity to inform the dear readers of our periodicals of what Christian Science has done for me.

It is now almost five years since this glad message reached me. Before that time, my body had expressed all forms of sickness. I was in such a state that I took medicine almost every day of my life. From childhood I was afflicted with constipation and stomach complaint, and in consequence of this long suffering I became almost insane, could not endure the slightest noise, and for that reason had to leave the city.

I was so tired of the world, since no physician could help me, that I determined to take no more medicine. When I told this to a neighbor, who at that time had a friend visiting her, this lady remarked that I would make a good Christian Scientist. She then told me what she knew of Christian Science, and said that Scientists do not need any medicine.
