Five years ago this summer, when lying at the point of death expecting every day would be the last, I was healed through Christian Science treatment. I gladly give this recital of my condition and healing with the hope that it will benefit others who may be needing help, and encourage some one to turn, as I did, to Christian Science for healing, after all material remedies have failed.

Twenty years ago I was overtaken by a very heavy snowstorm which I had to face for ten miles. As a result of this exposure and the cold which followed, I had asthma and bronchial trouble for years, suffering great agony at times. Finally the malady reached my lungs and a hard cough set in. This was often accompanied with the spitting of blood, and as a consequence I got very little good sleep or rest for years.

One doctor after another had me for a patient, but instead of receiving help I continued to grow gradually worse. The last doctor but one who had my case was taken sick while waiting on me, and another was called. The last doctor made twenty-two visits, then told my wife that I had consumption and that it was useless for him to come any more, as he could do nothing for me. In leaving me he said, "All you need is good care and plenty of fresh air." This was not very encouraging to a man flat on his back, racked with pain, coughing and expectorating day and night, too weak to stand alone. In this condition I was left to face death as inevitable.
