The Twentieth Century Manual by our beloved Leader...

Dayton Herald

The Twentieth Century Manual by our beloved Leader calls for higher and purer living, and better healing by all Christian Scientists. It also makes it imperative for the First Reader to enforce the discipline of the Church. Our text-book, Science and Health by Mary Baker G. Eddy (p. 241), teaches that "The substance of all devotion is the reflection and demonstration of divine Love, healing sickness and destroying sin." Hence this pertinent question: Is there one person enrolled as a member of this church who does not; who cannot or will not live in Christian fellowship with all its members? We are also admonished that the spirit of truthfulness and honesty—paying all just obligations—must prevail among all our members that we may be a church without reproach.
