I feel as if it would be wrong for me to withhold my testimony to what Christian Science had done for me.
I knew little or nothing about Christian Science until I tried it as the last resort in my case of sickness. For over two years I was a constant sufferer from stomach and liver trouble, trying some of the best doctors that could be found. I was in a sanitarium for four months, but all the time I was getting worse, and decreased in weight from one hundred and sixty-eight pounds to one hundred and fourteen, and could eat little or nothing without being in great distress. At this time I turned to Christian Science through the advice of a friend who had been healed. I stopped all material treatment, went to eating whatever I liked, which was just the opposite from what the doctor told me, and felt no bad effects whatever. I took treatments for three weeks, which were all absent except two, and at the end of three months I weighed one hundred and sixty pounds. This was certainly proof enough to me that Christian Science was what I had been searching for, the truth that makes man free.
I have been a constant reader of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," since my healing, and am very grateful for the good I have received from it. I am also very thankful to Mrs. Eddy for making plain this great truth for us.
