I deem it a privilege to acknowledge the many blessings resulting from the application of Christian Science to the experiences of every-day life; to reiterate my appreciation of its ability to meet our every need. We have deeply appreciated the healing of our pointer dog from the effects of poison; as we lost a favorite dog in that way prior to our acceptance of Christian Science.
One day while in the kitchen I heard a sound which attracted my attention, and as I looked out I saw our dog try to put his forepaws on the step and instantly fall to the ground in a rigid position. I recognized the error at once as I had seen our other dog in the same condition. Instantly Truth was declared and with the declaration he made an effort to get up, but failed. This effort was made three times; each time he fell back, but in five minutes he was able to mount the steps. The sense of fear seemed very real, so I hastened into the house to be alone; but our little boy, not six years old, stood by his faithful playmate, saying over and over aloud, "God is Love,—God is Truth,—God is Life." After this truth seemed clearer to me, I went back and the dear dog stood trying to wag his tail, but he did not seem to be able to move very much nor to walk any, as his joints were so stiff. Love's presence and power was continually realized, and in an hour we fed him and he ate heartily.
Within three hours from the time we first saw him, every symptom disappeared.
