When I returned some months ago, after having been in two sanitariums, I was broken down, discouraged, and but the shadow of myself. Even after I had received some treatment in Science and was being healed, a friend who met me on the street said, "Why, man, you are a walking skeleton. What is the matter with you?" Now all is changed, and, thanks to Christian Science, I am a well man to-day.
It is a blessed thing that with a limited understanding of Christian Science, we are able to help others. I had a little experience of this the other day. A friend next door came and said he had a severe case of dysentery, and that he knew I had some medicine a year or two ago in the house that would help it. I told him I didn't have any more, but that I had something that would probably do better than that. I told him what it was, and he said, "Oh no, that is nothing for me. I came for that medicine, and I would like it." My wife looked for it, but couldn't find it. So he went away. The next evening I was reading in Science and Health, when his wife came and said her husband was worse, and asked me to go and see what I could do for him. I said I would go and talk to him. I read during the evening and talked to him, and when I came away, I told him to read till bedtime. He did so. The next morning he said that from that moment on, he had no further trouble He went to work the next morning and never felt better in his life.—Z., Cleveland, O.
