Rev. Walter B. Vassar says in The Watchman:—
"The kingdom of God set up on the earth was a rule over hearts and must be given time to grow.
"The Scriptures themselves, read as they often are with a superficial examination, might lend a slight shade of thought to the belief that God's kingdom may suddenly burst into effulgent glory on the earth. And yet the one statement of the Master's, proclaiming the kingdom of God to be within, should set at rest all fanciful conceptions which have through the ages led many of the saints astray.
