I am thankful to-day for the healing and spiritual benefit of Christian Science. I have found it to be the truth and the greatest blessing of my life.

I have followed the sea for about twenty years, for the last five years with some understanding of Christian Science. This knowing that God is Life. Truth, and Love has so brightened my life at sea and on land, that it is a pleasure to live and demonstrate this grand fact that God is Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

It was in the schooner Estelo Phinney that I first found some tracts which were very interesting. They referred to a book called "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I had been thinking of buying the book when we got ashore, but fortunately the captain told me he had the book on board, placed there by his wife, one of Mrs. Eddy's students. Well, it was just the thing for one searching for a practical Christianity. I have ever since counted myself happy in having found it. I know of no better religion for sea-faring people, for eternal life is not far off, but just at hand. With the Quarterly, Bible, and Science and Health, I can always have a good and profitable hour of study.
