Over a period of more than thirty years I have experienced and witnessed many healings in Christian Science. But grateful as I am for these, I am even more grateful for the better understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him which Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, has made clear in her writings.

One day, while still a young girl, I met a couple who had never had any children, We were mutually attracted, and they often invited me to their home. When my mother went away for several months at one time, I stayed with these people, who were Christian Scientists, and often listened while they read aloud the Lesson-Sermon from the Quarterly.

Shortly after our marriage, my husband and I were living in the Middle West, and it seemed necessary for us to return to New York State. Because positions were difficult to secure at this time, my husband took a leave of absence so that we could return if it did not work out for us to stay in the East.
