Church Dedications
Madisonville, Kentucky (Society).
On Sunday, October 14, at 3 p.m., members of Christian Science Society, Madisonville, will dedicate a new church building. The attractive white structure with its tall spire is located on Hartland Avenue in Dozier Heights, and the public is invited to the dedication ceremonies.
In the spring of 1913, five students of Christian Science began holding services here in one of their homes. ... Interest and attendance increased until it became necessary to secure larger quarters; therefore in August, 1917, an upstairs room in the Murphy Building in downtown Madisonville was rented. The following summer, organization of Christian Science Society, Madisonville, was [completed.]
