It is with sincere gratitude to...
It is with sincere gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for her wonderful gift to the world, brought forth in her discovery of Christian Science, that I write this testimony.
When left alone in the world without supply, I sought to earn a livelihood, using the one talent I possessed: sewing. I went to the home of a Christian Scientist to work as a seamstress. For many years my great desire had been to learn more of God, and shortly after I had begun to work, my employer invited me to attend a Christian Science lecture.
When I suggested that perhaps I had better stay and finish the work I was doing, she lovingly replied, "There will be sufficient time for that later."
